The invoice module enables robust and flexible billing for complex shipments—generate multiple invoices, allocate distinct charges, support multi-currency in a single invoice, and choose invoice recipients. The process starts in the Income tab for clear workflow alignment and consistency across stakeholders.
Steps to Generate an Invoice from the Income Tab
Open the shipment for which you want to create an invoice
Go to the Income tab within the shipment record
Click the Create Invoice button in the Income tab.
Choose the charges to allocate. Add or allocate individual charges as needed—each line item can relate to a different currency (CAD, USD, etc.).
For mixed-currency invoices, pick either the organization’s base currency or set individual items in different currencies as appropriate.
Decide if all charges go on a single invoice or if multiple invoices are required for different recipients and currencies.
Preview the invoice or create a Proforma version for review and pre-billing sharing
Once confirmed, send the invoice directly by email from the system.
All invoices created are stored for easy access in the Invoice tab.
