The Flexi UI Designer is a powerful tool that allows administrators to customize the data fields and layout of key application modules, such as Customer, Shipment, and Vendor. Tailoring these forms ensures your team captures the most relevant information, streamlining workflows and improving data quality for better business intelligence.
Steps to Access and Modify a Module's UI
Go to System Settings -> Flexi UI Designer
You will be presented with a list of available modules (e.g., Airline, Customer, Service, Shipment, User Management, Vendor). Identify the module you wish to customize.
Click on the module's name to open its designer interface.
Within the designer interface, you can typically:
Add new fields: Select from different field types (text, number, dropdown, date, etc.).
Modify existing fields: Change labels, set mandatory status, or adjust properties.
Rearrange fields: Drag and drop fields to create a logical form flow for users.
After making your desired changes, save the configuration. The updated form will now be live for all users of that module.
Notes / Best Practices
Permissions Required: Ensure you have administrative system rights to access and modify the UI designer.
Plan Before You Build: Map out the required data fields and user workflow on paper before making changes to avoid confusion.
Avoid Over-cluttering: Only add fields that are essential for your business processes to keep forms clean and user-friendly.
Test Thoroughly: After saving changes, test the modified form thoroughly to ensure all new fields work correctly and data is saved as expected.
Communicate Changes: Inform your team of updates to forms and provide training if new workflows are introduced.
