Service

The Service module in LogixFlow enables administrators to define and manage the types of logistics and transportation services offered by your organization. These service records are used across different LogixFlow products for freight booking, quotation generation, and operational workflows.

Overview

The Service master module allows you to configure logistics or transportation services such as Door to Door, Express, Container Load, or Reverse Logistics. Each service entry defines the type of offering your company provides, ensuring uniformity in quotations, rate matrices, and operational transactions.

 

 
 

Prerequisites

  • User must have access to System Settings → Masters → Service.

Steps to Use

  1. Go to System Settings → Masters → Service.
  2. Click the + Service button at the top of the list view.
  3. Enter a unique Service Code and specify the Service Name.
  4. Select the relevant Service Category from the dropdown list.
  5. Click Save to add the new service record.
  6. To modify an existing service, click the Edit (pencil icon) beside the record.

 
 
 

Field Reference

Field Required Description Examples / Notes
Service Code Yes Unique identifier or short code for the service. e.g., D2D, AIR, RAILWAY
Service Name Yes Full name or title of the logistics service. e.g., DOOR TO DOOR, EXPRESS, RAILWAY
Service Category Yes Defines the type of service, such as Air, Container Load, Shipping, Express, Multimodal Transport, Full Truckload, and Less Than Truckload. Select from pre-configured service categories.
Product Yes Select the product in which the service will be visible or active. Select from pre-defined Logixflow products.
Tax Code No Define any tax code to be associated with the service. IMP14, IN89 tax code is active in your country. 
Tax Name No Define any tax name to be associated with the service. Any tax name to be associated with the service.
Actions No Edit existing service details or update configurations. Click the blue pencil icon to edit.

 

Usage Across Modules

  • Used in Rate Matrix to assign applicable rates per service type.
  • Referenced in Quotation Templates and RFQ Settings to specify service categories.
  • Appears in operational modules such as FreightNX and Shipment Booking for selection during transaction creation.
 

Notes / Best Practices

  • Maintain consistent naming for Service Codes and Service Names for easy identification.
  • Group related services under the same Service Category for better filtering and reporting.

FAQs

Can I create multiple services under the same category?
Yes, multiple services can share the same Service Category (e.g., multiple “Shipping” services with different codes).
Can I edit the Service Code after creation?
No, Service Code should remain unique and unchanged once it’s used in transactions.
Are inactive services visible in Rate Matrix?
No, inactive services are hidden from rate setup and quotation selection screens.
