Shipment

The Shipment management feature allows businesses to organize, track, and process freight movements efficiently within the application. It centralizes all shipment data, ensuring that logistics teams can monitor status, update details, manage invoices, and collaborate across operations securely and systematically. This improves visibility and streamlines workflow for logistics providers, retailers, and any business dealing with product movement.

Steps to Manage a Shipment

  1. Open the FreightNX > Shipment module from your dashboard

  2. Select the shipment group or entry you want to view or edit

  3. Review the Overview tab for status, quotation number, and key dates:

    • Fields include Status, Booking Date, Est. Delivery Date, Consignor/Consignee info, and package details.

  4. Navigate between tabs (Activity, Income, Expense, Invoice, Documents, Logix Docs) for additional actions:

    • To view expenses, select the "Expense" tab and check associated cost records.

    • To attach shipment documents, go to "Documents" and upload the necessary files.

  5. Edit shipment information by clicking the Edit button in the upper-right.

    • Update details such as ports, delivery dates, and agent info as needed.

  6. Use the Email/Print options to share shipment details with stakeholders or generate hard copies for compliance records.

Notes / Best Practices

  • Ensure shipment data is accurately entered to avoid delays or errors in delivery.

  • Only authorized users (e.g., with shipment editing rights) should make changes to booking and delivery dates.

  • Attach all relevant documentation (e.g., invoice, dispatch notes) under the Documents tab before the shipment is marked "At Origin".

  • Cross-check that package types, weights, and dimensions match the actual cargo prior to dispatch.
