The Airline Master in LogixFlow allows you to define and manage airline records used in air freight operations. These records are used within FreightNX to accurately capture airline details for shipments transported by air, ensuring consistency in documentation, tracking, and reporting.

Overview

Airline Master stores essential airline identifiers such as airline name, code, prefix, and country. Once created, airlines can be selected during air shipment creation in FreightNX, helping standardize air carrier information across all shipments and related documents.


 

Prerequisites

  • Access to System Settings → Masters.
  • Permission to create or edit Airline Master records.
  • Country master data should be available in the system.

Creating an Airline

  1. Navigate to Masters → Airline.
  2. Click + Airline or Create Airline.
  3. Enter all mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk (*).
  4. Click Save to create the airline record.

Field Descriptions

Field Name Description
Name * Official name of the airline (e.g., Emirates, Lufthansa).
Code * Standard airline code (IATA or ICAO) used for identification.
Prefix * Airline prefix commonly used in Air Waybill (AWB) numbers.
Country * Country where the airline is registered or primarily operates from.
Description Optional notes or additional information about the airline.

Use Cases

  • Select airlines while creating Air Shipments in FreightNX.
  • Standardize airline information across AWBs and shipment documents.
  • Enable reporting and analysis by airline for air freight operations.
  • Support automation rules triggered based on the selected airline.

Tips

  • Always use official airline codes and prefixes to avoid documentation issues.
  • Maintain consistent naming conventions for easy search and reporting.
  • Deactivate unused airlines instead of deleting them to preserve shipment history.
  • Review airline masters periodically to keep codes and details up to date.
